Finally, years of sweat, skating and effort are paying you back. JBGODS is developing an awards society that recognizes skaters and skate professionals for their achievements. Athletes all over the country are now being recognized for their time spent contributing to this world of skating.
The GodKing Pharaoh is the founder of JBGODS. He had an idea to create something that parallels the Grammys and the Oscars. The year 2025 is the birth year of the JBGODS Rose Awards and it is expected to bring a new light to Chicago. So much negativity comes out of the Windy City that the constructive things get buried in the shadows of everything dangerous and unattractive.
The summer weather has officially arrived in Chicago and the city is waking up. Activity is happening in every space that you can reach and the outside fun is in full swing. As you may know, Glenwood Roller Rink is still closed so all of that weekly traffic is making its way from the southern suburbs to the city. The Rink is experiencing an upswing in traffic but who knows how long that will last.
Nominations and Wins Give You Status
Getting a JBGODS Rose Award nomination alone raises your status in the skate world. Everywhere that you go, people will know who you are and have that much more respect for you. With enough recognition and public conversation, people will begin to study you. They’ll read about your challenges and accomplishments. When you walk into the room, you won’t need an introduction because people will already know. You won’t need to say as much or do as much because your decision count for more than they previously did.
This year, the head running nominee for Skater Of The Year is Deejay from the JBGODS Skate Team. He has been a consistent and dedicated figure on the team and in the world of skating.

Many skate world figures will be recognized this year. DJ Sosa is a dj from Aurora who leads the JBDEVILS Skate Team. Sosa has one nomination for Best New DJ.
